Interactive Developer

The Interactive Developer builds web sites based on the client approved creative and site maps delivered by other members of the team. This position requires thorough knowledge of modern web building and programming methodologies. Must implement technology with consideration for both browser and server requirements to enable ease of use and good functionality required for our projects.

In this position you will be building websites from the ground up, writing custom content management solutions, creating, managing and editing MYSQL databases and updating existing client web sites. An ideal candidate must be a self starter and problem solver who can take a design comp or website specs document and create standard compliant, cross browser web sites.

  • Our ideal candidate should be able to:
  • 2+ Years building standard compliant websites
  • Excellent understanding of CSS, HTML, PHP, Javascript, Actionscript 2.0/3.0…
  • Ability to hand code validated HTML/CSS site pages
  • Elegant XHTML/CSS layout implementation
  • JavaScript creation and implementation
  • Flash and Flash streaming video implementation
  • Set up new websites on development and live server models
  • Install and configure a range of pre-built content management systems
  • Develop dynamic templates based on CMS functionality/modules
  • Build custom web applications to allow clients to manage their own content
  • Make minor modifications to functionality to achieve project objectives
  • Create and manage MySQL databases
  • Leverage third party APIs and frameworks to enable functionality
  • Knowledge of Coldfusion a plus
  • Other requirements/experience:
  • BA in a related field (or equivalent experience) and/or 2 - 5 years experience in web development.
